After my 6 original chickens from tractor supply I decided to, as my husband calls them, get designer chicks so now we have 2 coops...

I have 12 seven weeks olds

2 Dark Brahma
2 Speckled Sussexs
2 Australorps
2 Plynouth Barred Rocks
2 Easter Eggers
2 Rhode Island Reds!

I just love the variety...

i also have a mixture, altho i keep them separated, i have coronation, light sussex's(they run together) black copper marans, one pair of blue wheaten marans(waiting for them to grow up, then i will have more lol) lavender orpingtons, lemon cuckoo orpingtons(chicks in the house) and last but not least, my bantam cochins, if i had more room, probably would have more

wow ladies....the variety is amazing!!

Don't know that I'd want seven 12-week-olds right now but then again, they'll be ready to start laying in the dead of winter. Something to look forward to!
