Aw, Sally I tried something different & lost my entire hatch I think you did awesome, though! Holy cute! I'd love to trade for or buy some call ducks or eggs from someone on here, but am open to other ducks, too.
If anyone does want to meet maybe Sat night, PM me & I'll bring whatever eggs I have. I know it is early, but I'm a haul & need to go home Sat night to tend the animals. The eggs are free, of course, just sharing & maybe we can swap at some point. I only put the lavs on ebay because my inky was full, no one local wanted them, & I didn't have the heart to eat them! I am surprised how well they did on ebay, & may list again at some point...helps the feed bill. But, I love swaps & that's why I joined BYC. Thanks to Sally, I found the PA thread, so maybe I can avoid shipping eggs this year.
I also have youngins...buckeyes, mixes & RIR's. Overrun, so any of those are free for adoption as well. Sold some on CL, about 30, but no more interest now that it's cold. Just offering up for swaps

I might take you up on buckeye babies...as long as you don't mind waiting till Spring to get something in return...mine are NOT laying right now, and I don't have them separated yet. I'm just north of Gettysburg actually...

I have to wait til spring...no rush at all...I am up to my eyeballs in chickens! My basement is full of chickens, bunnies, and fish/ pond plants. It's ridiculous, really! The little guys in the barn are getting rough with one another & any you guys take will be better off. The ones I sold have done very well, not so crowded. I got really overrun is all. I'm not real sure who's who. Buckeyes & reds are pretty equal, lots of roos left on the older ones, I think. Everyone wanted hens & I did a good job of sexing them it seems.

Happy new year!

So today my BF built me an awesome nester box! I'm thinking my girls are going to start laying very soon, not that I am in a rush right now as they are being medicated. Everyone is looking very healthy!! So I'm happy about that! I have some pictures I'll post when I can figure out how to get that to work from my iPhone!

All they babies look so cute! I'm trying not to catch the hatch bug watching all this! At least not till all my girls are healthy and my current chicks are moved out to the barn as well!! Maybe in the spring!
