OH!!! and I forgot, Chickies are hatching, brooder room is getting quite loud, will get pics later today, I was lazy and never set the room back up after fall cleaning, so I am compromising and using old dresser drawers for now...

And chad, this hatch has a couple, looks like 8 so far, of cot quail, i only set them to see how fertility was, if you are interested you can have them...will let you know how many hatch if you want them. i have no sunday plans this week , could meet up someplace.
You could meet at the Farm Show.

I have a pip...at the wrong end....I peeled a little bit of shell back to see what I see...there's movement in there...i think...i mean i know i saw movement (membrane still over) but what I saw was red...so not sure if she's bleeding ...or i saw a vein...ugh..I think I hate this!

YAY!!! Can't wait to see pictures.

Well there was quite a breeze blowing this morning, and when it is only 18, that makes is **** cold at the bus stop!

I am so sad every one (except the youngest) went back today.

I sure miss them when they are gone.
I have ONE still home, I'll send him right over.
I can try to talk him into that. I showed him a picture of one online and that is what he made! Hopefully the girls use it soon! I am checking every day for eggs and nutting :(
When you least expect it. Mine like to put their 'first' eggs in strange places, sand box, deck, middle of the yard…. I think maybe they're not sure what's happening. Like those teenagers who 'didn't even know' they were pregnant having babies in bathrooms n such.
It's a good thing I have my full growns....these eggs have been annoying! Still nothing...gonna chalk it up to an experience...and find me one of those broodies!
Missy, I got no large fowl out yet. The BLRW were a surprise gift to my son, he's heart broken.

Lilmisspurdy…I would think YOU could fit in just about any coop.

seriously though, they are still hatching, anyone needs a few chicks give a yell, I could deliver if you are not cross country,
also the quail are up for grabs, good opportunity to start with just a few quail...these chicks are at my house which is a few miles away from the farm so there's no contact with my flock (I know some worry about that) ..Getting 5 to 6 quail eggs a day and my market has falling off till spring so I got eggs up for grabs also...

Where's Penta, have not seen her on lately, hope she isn't giving up on hatching..
I think Penta's coming to the Farm Show. I'm going to lend her my Hovabator and I hope to give it to her there, if she's ready to try again.
Many years ago my brother came back from a trip. He got home right around my bedtime, so he came to mine and my sister's room, and gave us our gifts. I got a fat pencil. My sister got a slingshot. My mother warned him to not give it to her, but he just laughed, and said it wasn't like she could figure out how to use it! Five minutes later my sister told me to sit up. She them knocked me out! She had found a black Jelly bean from almost a year before. It was hard as a rock. She was David, and I was Goliath! I sported a bruise in the center of my forehead for quite some time!
Oh my Goodness! MC, I couldn't help laughing at this. When my son was 2, he clubbed his 17 yr old sister in the head with a Sobe bottle ~while she was sleeping. It's NOT been forgotten.

Missy, I'm going to the Farmshow on Sunday. I plan to be there at 10 (which is 11…at least, my time). MsLadyHawke is most likely coming and we MAY have talked her DH into it. The Farm Show is for everyone! not just chicken enthusiasts. All my DH and kids can talk about is the FOOD.

Oh and
