There is always something very satisfying about being tired when it involves a project you can look at tomorrow and say... 'I did that'!

Good for the girls!

Beats the heck out of being tired because you spent your day at work!

That is awesome! I grew up with assorted animals, but never chickens... I wish I had now!
One thing I think so many kids miss out on in this 'electronics era' is just how satisfying it can be to just spend a day mucking around with your favorite pets...
and learning the rewards (and sometimes the heartaches) that come with the responsibilities... and how to wait for some of those rewards! I think you having your girls involved is going to be great for them in a lot of ways.

This is MY ideal FF. Some say it should look like oatmeal (not so wet) and others say it should have a few inches of water above the FF at all times. I stopped using a second bucket because I had to drill bigger holes (small ones get clogged) and ended up breaking the bucket. I now use a strainer. The wire kind with a long handle. It hooks across the bucket while I get dressed. Don't forget to rinse anything metal at least once every other day. The acid will eat away at it.
Fill bucket about half way with feed, one glug of ACV with Mother (Heinz @Wal Mart. New item) add warm water to cover the feed, and stir every morning and night. Add more water if needed.
Feed takes about 8 hours, dog kibble, and grains take about two days, sometimes three. All animals (and humans) can benefit from FF.

I AM LISTENING!! I already add water to ALL my dogs food after reading so much about urinary issues and having spent so much on one of my dogs!!! T
