Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Today was half snowy, half muddy, and generally a wreck. Let the girls out today, gave them some old chinese food to snack on

I just love how when you're had a long, hard day, your hens never fail to keep you smiling

Okay, seriously, does anyone close feel up for a strange trade? I need to get candles done and more made, soaps wrapped and some more made, bath bombs made etc, and I can't get everything done I need to get done. If anyone would be interested in coming and helping, I'd be more than willing to send eggs or some soaps/candles home with you, plus you could learn how to make bath bombs and candles (not soap though, since I can't let anyone make that, since I don't use safety gear and don't feel comfortable putting anyone in that position, LOL). I have a dozen mixed hatching eggs, two dozen eating eggs, a dozen eating duck eggs (infertile) and some soaps and candles to choose from. Anyone? LOL. Oh, working conditions wouldn't be so hot, because my soap room is a DISASTER and the house is a mess from toys and birds. I'm just so frazzled with trying to move, trying to restock my inventory and get everything ready for school, all before the 15th of this month!!! It's just NOT going to all get done. :/
What I need to get done:
At least another dozen candles made (only have a dozen jars right now, but might get more if anyone wants to help, LOL)
A few candles labeled (warning label, main label and raffia bow)
Bath bombs (I'd *like* to get all of my molds filled up, I have like 4 or five trays that I can find and they hold 14 bombs each)
Soap, eh. I have to wrap and label about 20 bars and then I'd like to get five more batches made

Maybe I should just get some expresso made up and get off of here. I just get so frazzled that I end up not getting ANYTHING done!
I would love to come and help you, but I am without transportation at the moment....

I think I'm over my moment of panic, LOL. I suppose I'll get done what I get done, change my swaps to only have what's already pre-made and go from there. If I've got time to make more to restock, great, if not, tough dookies, because the soaps/candles really do come AFTER moving and AFTER school.

Kind of shaken at the moment. A very good friend's brother was killed in an auto accident this morning. Those in the area no doubt heard about the accident on the news. We'll never know what caused him to go the wrong way. My prayers go out to the family of the man he hit, as well.

When you don't read it for two days....
Kauffman's Fruit Farm Market in Intercourse has the best trees for the money that I have ever seen. You can probably order. They have a web site. Amish/mennonite run. Great market too.
Gurney's was bought out a few years ago by the conglomerate that owns Henry Fields, Burgess and a bunch of other seedhouses of the sametype. 20 years ago I adored Gurney's but these days, it's no different than others. I have really minimized my gardening since i work full time but DD says she is planting a big one this year at our house. Ah, the energy of youth:) I just want to keep the place workable so I can still have it for retirement.
just looked itup.. http://www.applebutterblog.com/2013/01/fruit-tree-sale-webpage-updated/
