Ok. So, I had my five chicks set up in a galvanized steel tub but then they were trying to climb on top of each other and escape. And they were all pecking at the sides of the tub and I was afraid they were going to smash their faces! So, I moved them to a cardboard box with high sides and now they are pecking at that!!! What the heck?? Can they get out of a box by pecking the sides? Are they trying to tell me they hate me and want to move out?

I am so flipping scared I'm going to kill them because I clearly know zero percent of anything about chickens... Besides they are delicious with buffalo sauce.

Lord, help me.
I had my chicks in a big livestock tub til I could put them out in the coop. When they started flying up on to edge of the tub, I put a screen door that I had on top.

It was a nice day, so decided to clean out the coop. Set up my bachelor pad as well until the time comes (warm enough to process outside).
Problem is, now my compost bin is full, so now I have another project. Add that to building a few brooders (Easter hatch), and I need another coop. Oh yeah, and it will soon be time to get the garden started. And my city friends say it must be nice living in the country and relaxing.

I get the same reaction from my city friends,,,they are a little horrified when they visit and I hand them a shovel.....what can I say....let them see the real side of country living..I also like to invite them for a cookout right after spring fertilizer goes down....
