Heather, I wish I had known. I was just in Grantville yesterday, too. Of course, we were going to pick up a car from the Salvage Direct lot...
Well, I am right off of 81 too! There are so many car salvage/junkies around here...............

I noticed at least 4 cars that were wrecked and awaiting repairs on 22. I knew we were getting close! My best car came from the SD in Grantville. We put 20k-30k on our main vehicle every year, so we switch a lot. I regret selling that one in particular...
really folks, I wll not be getting any chicks, poults, ducklings, keats...did I miss any....untill this time next year, except thse already order from crazypetlady and also a dozen from reesepoultry, not sure what I willdo with these.
I do plan on coming home with lots of other things, I already have a list of folks wanting me to grab them some soaps and things like that...if anyone makes chicken diapers, please bring some, hubby wants homemade root beer, I got no clue how to make that......I better sign up for overtime, I may need it to pay for all this.
Well, I took an impromptu trip to Sharpesburg MD today. I picked up some very cute mottled black Cochin bantams from MsBear!
I sent the Blue Orp rooster with suspected split wing to the auction. I checked both wings thoroughly and he definatly had it on one side. That is okay, it made it easier to choose between Orps and LF Cochin!!!!
We're practically neighbors! I'm outside of Northern Cambria....Hi hi!!The address is actually Ebensburg, but I'm literally a stone's throw from Colver ... I do work in Indiana daily though, so I could certainly be working in your backyard, practically!!![]()

They traveled well. Even went to Sally's house first. Just an fyi them lil fu%^$@# can fly against and through cages. Needless to say trying to corral a half dozen birds the size of a bantam chicken put together inside of a storage trailer turned housing facility for critters with wings aka " the projects"Chad...how did the quail move go...did they settle in and start laying eggs.....did you get a male to female ratio there,,,I think that batch only had a few males but I never really checked.....or did you just say the he** with it and eat them, they really are good simply fried...
I will have to use that one some day......definition of an enabler.......But dear....a really good friend told me it was the best idea I ever had...
not sure he will buy that one..
Why noe thin down the flock and divide off a place in the run?I have kind of a strange question to throw out there...
I have 8+ cream legbar chicks comng from crazypetlady in the spring...as you all know i am trying to downsize and get organized, this is a breed i would like to work with but the timing is way off.....
my question is would any of you be willing to take these chicks and work with them, and then ensure that i get chicks from them come next summer??
You happen to hatch marans. That;s a heng of a problem to have. I have to set 35 to get a chick. This is my excuse for having such bad habits of not candling eggs. Most of what I hatch seems to be marans. I can never see anything except air cell either. I just assume that, if the air cell is shrinking, and there's ablob in there, things are good. If the egg isn't fertile, the whole thing glows.
Chad Likes....Chad has a cold. ...So it's cranberry and tequila
Sweet! Yep very close to CC.HI Missy! My Zipcode is 15927 ... I actually live in Ebensburg (zip 15931) but I'm half a mile from Colver (zip 15927). Most people see "Ebensburg" and think "town" ... but I don't live in the urban area!![]()
I've got connections to Lebanon County myself ... born and raised in Pittsburgh but lived in Lebanon from 1998-2005. Cedar Crest Grad. My parents still live by Lion's Lake. Hope all is well on that half of the state![]()
I love it!You realize that all you are doing is infecting your DD with a bad case of chicken math, right? I agree that you have to "go through this at some point" but if you are going to teach her now, you might want to teach her how to build coops too.
Too true! Look at that, Mommy's the enabler this time! Raise 'em up right Brownie. We are after all raising up the next generation of enablers.![]()
