I believe I said in an earlier post that our Good Friday was a very good Friday!

Well after 10+ yrs we made it official.... Radioman is now my DH instead of my SO... (the 'fiance' stage was only a few weeks, so kinda skipped that step! LOL)

Many Blessings on A Long and Happy Marriage!

Hi, are there any single chicken ladies here in Pennsylvania?
Now, if DH had said that to me, he'd have swept me right off my feet!!!

If you want to get a woman on here, you need to answer these really serious questions...

1) Do you have job and a good one (we need someone to fund our addictions)?
2) Do you have any carpentry skills (someone needs to build that new coop)?
3) Do you have a Lowes or TSC credit cards (do I need to elaborate)?
4) Will you remember my favorite breed of chicken on those all important special occasions (birthday, Christmas, Easter and any day I feel like I need more birds - diamonds personally don't cut it for me... Unless they are Diamond Jubilee English Orps)?
5) How strong is your stomach and back (euthanizing/processing is a part of animal ownership and some one needs to carry my feed from the truck to the shed)?
6) Do you like to travel (I like going on 400+ mile trips to get chickens)?

7) Do you look like Chad in a kilt (see a few pages back w/ the pics of the beefcake)?

Congrats to fisherlady and radioman!

My babies all survived their first night in the coop. The 6 weekers are really enjoying the extra space to spread their wings. I think Chicken Noodle Soup might be a rooster, based on the behavior between he and Arkansas (who is definitely a rooster). What is a typical rooster to hen ratio? I have 30 chickens total. Will 2 roosters be ok? What about 3?

We had our Easter dinner yesterday (turkey, because my Dad is always winning frozen turkeys at banquets). Today we're going to have Chinese takeout!

She'd probably prefer a young, springy rooster to keep up with her flock (He'd be in with the two hens and a few other miss matched pullets and hens). How old is the Splash? I believe both her hens are Smith/Blehm crosses but I can't be sure. There might be some local stock blood in there too, likely clionsky or however you spell his name

Do you have pictures of the Splash?

Still waiting for those other pictures of the strapping young blues from Missy

The splash is 2. I will have to get some pics.
