Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

The 2 SS that I have are broody now. I saw chicks peeking put from under the one yesterday. The 2nd one is still sitting. They are both 1 year old.

I will give Pebbles a chance. She is protective of her eggs. My hubby got bit a few times last night trying to check on how many eggs she has. She has 3 eggs. How many can she hatch? My silkie hatched 8 slw without a problem so I was thinking 10-12 eggs should be no problem.

The chick count is the same today as last night. I bought myself a plastic kiddie pool to brood the new hatchlings in. I will keep the current 'sick' chicks in the contaminated brooder until these guys seem healthy.

I am still hatching. Still setting around 80 eggs every 3-4 days. I have ducklings due soon. And RB & BS poults. I just got my Sweetgrass eggs today. I am not going to set after May 17th so I can shut my 'bator down to clean it and them fire it back up for the Sept. swap and to hatch my own birds.

On another note...
My mom and her boyfriend have 2 semi-feral female cats (Mom Kat and Little Girl). My mom likes them, but he wants them gone because they are nothing but 'baby factories'. The one mother had her kittens in the tote mom puts out for them during winter but we didn't get a chance to catch her and the kittens then. She had 6, the 2 buffs died. Yesterday I was visiting mom and her OH and I just happened to see the kittens and Mom Kat moving them. We caught the first three with no serious issues. Mom Kat would call them out and we'd catch them. The last one we waited for 2hrs and Mom Kat wouldn't call the last one out. Mom's OH pulled a board off his deck and we caught her that way. I claimed two of them! Blue tabby tortoise shell (looks like her mom) and a blue tortie (looks like her older sister, Little Girl). The blue tortie is feisty and the one we had to pull the board off the deck for. When she starts getting sleepy she likes attention. Otherwise, she hisses and spats. The tabby loves attention, licks my hand and has no problems playing with me either. Considering they never had human contact before yesterday, I think they are doing very well! Mom and her OH have the other 2 - an orange and blue tabby - both boys. Little Girl has three kittens, too. They are a bit younger than these guys. Hopefully we will get them caught like we had the chance to this round.

Since my girls are still a bit wild and not potty trained, they are confined to the dog kennel for now. I don't have a room I can shut off. They are about 6wks old.

"Okay. I am done hissing at the camera - I wore myself out."

My black and white bi-color tortie, Eve Ill, is not happy with me.

Why is it that no one in my area sells or has heard of Corid. Called TSC and was told its a deleted item. Agway and the feed stores don't have any, one feed store never heard of it. ARHG. I need some now, oh what to do.

I did a internet search and it came up on Amazon - I guess you could order it and get it shipped to you, depending on how soon you need it.

TSC in Muncy and Bloomsburg carries Corid.

I would suggest Jefferspet.com. Quick shipping and the cheapest prices I have found yet.
