Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Ok i will get some of that. I just didn't know if anything i had here at my house would work. Guess i will be getting some flea bombs for inside the house when i go get the frontline.

I used the stuff from walmart last year. Worked very well. And i found out that the ingredients in the dog dosage is the same as the cat. So i just buy the dog dosage (for a very large dog) then use a syringe to dose it out between all our cats. Saves even more money doing it this way. :)

You can make a flea trap with a shallow pan of water with a drop or two of detergent placed under a small light like a night light. Fleas will jump toward the light at night and fall in the water. Takes time, but it works. I'm sure if you google it you can get detailed plans.

Hi All,
Was lurking and saw the threads regarding the microscope...I think I can get a microscope for anyone here who likes...I'm a teacher and our district had about a hundred fifty we've been getting rid of. I managed to get about 75 to schools in Nicaragua and I think some were slated to go to Haiti, but i think some are not yet spoken for. Before I get people started on the rant about wasting taxpayer money, the reason they're being replaced is that our modernized classrooms are just too dark (energy-efficient and smart board friendly) to use the old mirrored scopes in, so our district spent a fortune instead upgrading to electric and computer-integrated scopes. I still think the lens quality in these old workhorses is better, but hey, they don't ask me....finding them new homes has been tougher than I thought, in part because they're heavy and expensive to ship. At least in large numbers. If anyone is interested, I can check and see if I can get any, then we can figure out best way to get it to you.
I would be interested, my son would live that.. Keep me posted

On vacation and I miss my chickens! I've crossed over to the dark side. We had produce scraps and the first thing I thought of is what a waste. The chickens would love this...... Might have to check out the North Carolina Craigslist for the hatching eggs.....

Biologrady- how much would those go for/ what kind are they/ where in PA are you?

chixranch- that is such an amazing brooder!!!

Anyway, no hazmat suits. They did come and remove all my chickens (per my request since I was going to get rid of them anyway to start fresh) but it was just one guy in his little Camry haha. The backyard is pretty lifeless now as I disinfect everything and throw everything away in preparation for the chicks that are coming in a week to move in there in a month.
Anyone have experience with Murray Mcmurray? I got 15 little babies from them and I am hoping more then 4 live with proper care.

I was just in NC last week. Sunset Beach to be exact. Had great weather :) How your weather is good too. I missed my birds also. I love hearing the sounds they make all day. I tried to find someone local on byc in the NC thread that might have eggs that they would sell but had no luck. Hope you do you:) Have fun and watch our for sunburn.
