Patrickschicks (cha cha Chad) is a CPT, not sure how far he is from you but you can find him on the map in my sig. As fr as test requirements, it varies by show. Do yourself a favor and contact the show secretary before you test. I've been at shows where it's within 90 days, and ones where it's within 10 days.

Thats funny, because I just noticed that Hershey has a falconry this year. I saw the building on my way to Chocolate World, and wondered how long it had been there.... Didn't realize that Jack Hubley is from Lititz either!

There is someone that was in Hershey. I don't know if they travel, or are something that has there own site. I will see if I can find out more for you. My little cousin enjoyed it very much.

Oh that is really weird. Falconry is considered a hobby, not something people make a profession out of. I'll look into Hershey though, thanks!

I Practice how to keep them away from my chickens that is about it! :D But I am sure there are places around us! :)

Did a little digging, found this site:

Ok, I know this will seem odd and a bit far reaching by asking this, but Gavin has brought home his fall fundraiser flyer would anyone be interested in ordering from him? Now the ONLY reason I'm even posting this is that the company the fundraiser is through (Great American) is doing something neat. For every 10 items the child sells the company sends a chick to families in need through Save the Children. More info on the Save the Children aspect is on here:

Here is the link for the sales page: http://www.gaschoolstore.com/Login His student ID is 22MJFG5.

Again the ONLY reason I'm posting this is the partnership with Save the Children, AND that it's chicks they're donating. Otherwise I wouldn't think of asking about this. Sorry if I'm overstepping here, but it seems to be a worthwhile cause.

ETA: Plus the lil putz asked that I ask on here, again since they're donating chicks and, as far as he's concerned, he'd be happy if everyone in the world could enjoy chickens or duck the way he does.

I had the weirdest thing happen today! Let the chicks out of the coop and all ran out but a little Sussex. She was still inside, legs far apart, squatting and all fluffed up. I swear it looked like this six week old chick was about to pop out an egg! I went to look more closely and after a few seconds she ran out, leaving behind a present. It was a half digested piece of straw (which I use for bedding) completely coated in poop. That thing was LONG.
I can only imagine how painful that must have been.

One of the girls laid a big one today. That had to hurt. 93G according to the kitchen scale.

Got some more work done on the run today.

We're gonna have to re-square the corner. Didn't realize it had drifted up so much while we were putting the top span up.

The storm door is recycled from the old Porch. Hopefully when done, it'll let us let the girls out while we're not home. Keep them in till we get home so they can range supervised.

"Okay, going to be a totally weird question but:

Does anyone know someone who practices falconry?"

There are falconer a in the Pocono area. I did a paper on them in high school. PA requires an apprenticeship, so I would Google Tunkhannock or Mountaintop for some masters to contact.
