Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I honestly feel like if everyone who has any amount of land had at least two chickens, this problem would not be solved but at least we would be better off than what that video portrays... even a brainless person could keep chickens in conditions better than those (if they try, that is). Sorry for my little rant, it just makes me so mad.

And Lisa- do not thank me, thank Anne. She brought up the video, I just googled it and posted it.---------

okay THANKS ANNE!

Ugh I hate when people.post those videos....always makes me so.sad and feel horrible about eating meat. I am glad I have girls of my own that are spoiled to eat their eggs.knowing they are healthy and happy. Those poor chickens.

Hey Britt:

1. nothing wrong with eating meat of any varity

2. It isn't only the corp pukes but the aholes they hire to run things....if any body treated my chooks that way, they'd be toast.....just don't buy wegmans chickens or eggs

Thee one with his head turned down on the left looks like a tom. He holds his head like my tom. The hens always have their heads up and looking around and my tom has his head tucked down. I read if you play turkeys gobbling, then your to will gobble back to tell sex. Didn't need to try that since my tom gobbles and struts. Good luck with them

My turkeys aren't old enough to have beards, bit three Tom's like to strut.

THANKS ALL! I did see a couple strutting but I was so overwhelmed about getting them help that I don't know which ones, so I will watch them and bond some more tomorrow. They are probably ticked they were running all over town and now are penned. I will need to kiss up!

Woo! Got it to work!!! boys or girls??? I am clueless. And I promise, they will have better accommodations! Just had to move fast to get them safe.
Aunt Kat!! How Freakin awesome! And my oh my you sure can whip up a turkey coop pretty darn quick! Not too sure about the different breeds, but I always thought..Boy-if they have beards and girls if not, but sometimes the hens can have beards,sooo...I guess I didn't really help you

Glad you could help them! I also was not expecting turkeys right now but a little Amish boy was selling them at TSC and he was just too darn cute! LOL I am really liking them though. They are starting to follow me around and seem to be very inquisitive.

I pictured raising my own from babies, but these guys must have been treated well. They are friendly. I know I will love them the same.
