Love this!
Wing... I am not back to work yet, I am off another 2 weeks yet from my hysterectomy. Not missing working in this weather at all! You are right with one thing.... folks with common sense would hope people stay off of the roads in weather like this, but they rarely do. Folks going to work or other important errands are understandable, it is nuts though how many are out and about for things that really , really should have waited a day or two!
We have as much trouble with BS calls though when they call for really bad weather. All of a sudden everyone who has a sniffle wants to go to the ER instead of waiting a day or two to see their doctor, or better yet.... they say they figured they would be safer going in the ambulance and wouldn't have to wait as long at the ER to be seen. They don't think there is a thing wrong with endangering more people as long as they get the attention they want.
Quote: Only time I have ever called a squad for myself was when I was pregnant, had had a migraine for 3 days straight, couldn't see straight, was vomiting & dizzy. I had called my dr & was ordered to get my butt to the er. After calling 6 different people for a ride with no luck I finally called the squad. I'm a bit stubborn, so if I hadn't been pregnant & been worried about the baby I would have never gone.
I had better be unconscious to be put in the back of one of them,,,,,I claustrophobic....badly...I will take stairs instead of elevators even on crutches..

Quote: When you are to the point that you are in so much pain you can barely open your eyes you can't see to be claustrophobic. If I could have gotten my eyes open I would have driven myself...lol
that same stubbornness almost did me in with the gall bladder,,, I waited that long that I was poisoning myself.....only good thing about was I did not wait long in ER before being wheeled to the OR... course it all made my hospital stay longer than it should of been.......
my question to the medical folks,,,,,,how did they know it was that bad without lots of testing....

I'm in Columbia County! The yellow portion is Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, and Union Counties. That is my coverage area, so I can pretty much find anywhere in it, given a street address.
