Question- I have a broody BCM. I take her off the nest many, many times a day. She insists she has a duty to set in that box. I do not have a rooster and no eggs in that nest. Should I build a broody box or go to TSC and get her some babies?? All advice is welcome!!

I know! The sun was blazing a little while ago. So I pulled on my sweatshirt and stepped outside, rake in hand, to go clean up some dog poo and spend some time with the chickens. Ended up checking for eggs, gave up on the raking, and was back inside in ten minutes. Darn deceiving sunshine! D: It's COLD out there today!

Burn your coop down and start over.

Just kidding (kind of)... I use ivermectin on the Chooks (few drops of cattle pour on back of neck and top of vent -exact amount on back of bottle, I think it's 1 ounce per 20 lbs?), and permethrin sprayed in every nook n cranny in the coop (keep chooks out till coop dries) Wear a mask, chuck eggs and repeat in 10 days.
