40 gallon? I assume you mean quart, but I am quoting you because I have only seen 30 quart turkey fryers. Where did you get yours?

40 gallons. It is my brew pot for making beer. I got an old stainless steel steam kettle from a retirement home and altered it to make a 40 gallon brew pot. A small local brewery borrowed it for a while until there big equipment was delivered to their brew pub.

It pays to shop at night sometimes,,,,stopped at giant last night and they were filling the meat counter with yellow tagged stuff ( the dates run out today )...I got 4 big roast (2 chuck and 2 something else) 4 pounds of hamburger and 2 nice big t bone steaks... all for $40...also a pack of cubed meat was in there......

really it is just a sale by ate, does not mean that the meat is useless at that point...
awesome deal! I always look to see if they have any 'tagged' packs of meat when I go shopping... I don't shop at night as often as I used to, so don't find the deals as often, but they are great when I do.

Good deal! Giant usually has a clearance bread section. We love that, buy the bread and freeze it. Ours is located by the "storage room entrance" between the milk and meat areas. Keep an eye out for it! :pop

That's a big pot! :th

I have seen more of you post about mites

Is MITES a seasonal thing.................like is this the time of year where MITES start to develop?

I would imagine that in the winter they might be less? not sure though......................

I think I gotta check my gals out a bit.............they have enjoyed vigorous dust bathes this week. but this has been really the first week that there has been dry dirt..........

no mud or snow or ice in their run..............so they couldn't dust bath so much before!

Just got back from the ER. My son came home from a birthday party in Baltimore, it was a roller skating party, anyhow he injured his ankle. It was really swelled up so we decided it was best to get it checked. Dr said possible fracture, have to get ahold of the orthopedics in the morning. Ugh..... Not at all what I had planned to do tonight..

Good luck at the Doctors today! Hopefully your son isn't in too much pain.
