it that not what always happens....when you want one, not there...need eggs-go broody..I think my cuckoo marans hen is broody. She is in the box all low and won't move. She has been in the box and when I come in she usually moves out of the way complaining when I take the eggs. Today she wouldn't move, don't know if she is sitting on eggs or not. I need all the eggs I can get now, have some orders coming in for eating eggs lol.
can geese house with ducks?.....you have that really neato "duck wagon"...Why did no one stop me...
I got all the eggs from the weekend buying spree...
Now keep in mind I have never had geese or even pictured geese eggs......where the #### am I gonna put these humungous things, I am playing tetris in the incubators as it is

I had trouble with my calls in with the geese & anconas just because of size difference, but all the rest of my ducks have been fine housed with geese. I had 5 pens of ducks last summer & all had geese in them as well.

Well...looks like we will be moving again by the end of June. JJ's SSI got denied & that was supposed to be our down payment on the land contract. So unless we miraculously come up with $5,000 in the next month we'll be looking for a new place. I haven't done anything with the property because it's not ours yet & I wasn't putting work into it until it was. I put up some really basic fencing that will be easy to take back down for the chickens & ducks, covered an old glider frame in netting & tarp for a day pen for the older chicks & let the meaties free range in the side yard during the day & put them in the strip cage at night.
I don't write in it every day..sometimes not even every week. If things are going same-same...then there isn't much to write..but then, I don't have the number of birds that Wing has either. Like anything else we all do, just a matter of making it a habit...now why are the bad ones easier to keep than the goodGreat idea!
If hubby thinks it should be a priority, maybe he should do it?![]()
good lord!...another move with kids and all those animals....I really hope things turn around for you.Well...looks like we will be moving again by the end of June.
