Ok, that was my guess as well. Did a little pic cross referencing of "known" red sex links and was 95% sure. Any guess as to their age? Can you even tell something like that? They seem a lttle on the small side, so I'm really hoping they're still good layers lol!
You can determine where they are in their laying ability by examining their vent, eye ring, earlobe, beak, bottoms of feet, shanks and tops of feet. They loose pigment in that order and then gain it back in the reverse order. It's a pretty good bet, as they were at auction that their egg production is down. The good news, is that usually after a molt, they will come back into lay, not as good as their first season, but some eggs.
