anyone interested in a speckled sussex rooster 1 yr old. He is making my DBF crazy with his crowing. The rooster is a good boy likes his hens but has to go. I'll find a picture of him.

Wing, yes the broody hens can hatch out the turkey eggs. Just split them up between the broody hens who have been sitting the shortest time to compensate for the longer incubating time. They should be fine.
I haven't been around for a few days. I'm really busy with a HUGE English paper (a 10 chapter book all about my life so far).
Yesterday was a historical event here. It was the first time I hatched eggs from my own flock. They're my new bantam cochin pair's babies. If I could have one breed for the rest of my life, it'd be bantam cochin hands down. The babies are oh my goodness. Two hatched and one is pipped. Here are the two already hatched:

Thinking about adding the large fowl Cochin, if I could figure out how to keep those feet clean in the mud.
Speaking of this breed, I have one bird that is always hunkered down in the corner, just like a broody, only problem is it's a rooster....think maybe he is confused.
