before I do any moving around, is anyone interested in a breeding age pair of eastern wild turkey (cheap, make offer ). my plan was to breed them into a nice little flock and then turn them loose.....this coyote problem has me thinking twice...

I am hatching blue, black, dark partridge, white, paint under white (they are giving me very minimum paint markings at this point) silver partridge (grey), and a couple oddballs- due to paint genetics. I have a really nice blue cockerel, would have been perfect for show but has a "hint" of gold leakage (most cannot even see it) available for pet/breeding home, a silver partridge (grey) cockerel and possibly a couple others. boys are $15, chicks are $12, discounts for multiples and $8 for birds with imperfect feet.
 
Question about chicken behavior. In the past few days, my Roo and my barnyard Silkie mix Malificent have been fighting, gladiator style. She has left his comb a little bloody and has pulled out feathers. I can't tell who starts it, but it looks like it may be him. It's quite a show, both have their hackles raised and are jumping on top of and over each other. Is he trying to dominate her to mate with her? Or is he just trying to move up in the ranks? :idunno

even a high ranking hen will fight to keep position over a roo... wonder who will win (not always the roo)
