Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I just finished setting 186 eggs, and had to stop because I ran out of room. If anyone close to Pottstown is interested in eggs (Rhodebar, New Hampshire, or Guineas), let me know. I have about 50 Rhodebar eggs we will end up selling for eating - those hens are fantastic layers!

I think I need another Sportsman incubator. I'm not addicted, I can stop anytime I want, really.

It's also hatch day and the first hatch of Bielefelders in underway. 2 are out so far.

YOU have Bielefelders? Where did you get them? How did we not hear of this before? That's the breed I REALLY want! I don't have any more room though. :(. And we definitely won't be moving this year. Details please! I had PMed a gentleman on here from Easton that has some which should be coming into lay soon. I had hoped to obtain some from him in the future.

This is funny...and true. Feel like we all know who's got what on here. My surprise package with mystery eggs had a few eggs marked 'RB' I'm assuming that they are Rhode Bars... Looks like they're all developing too. It had dark brown eggs too that I'm not sure if they are Marans or Wellsummer., guess I'll figure it out in about 2 more weeks.

I got 7 eggs and my momma taught me not to count my chicks before they are hatched. Only 2 hatched, looks like a pair. I'm trying this breed and trying to keep an open mind, but they better be phenomenal layers or they are gone, I don't have room for them and Rhodebars, and I hear they eat more than "normal" breeds. Actually, my main interest in trying them is that they are a production German breed and since my ancestry is German it seemed like a cool thing to try. GFF's description is hilarious - the point to the "fine German engineering" like that automatically translates to poultry genetics.

I do need to figure out how to pronounce the name soon.

Uuugh! I need some to finish filling my bator. My cabinet still has 2 empty drawers.

Looks like my timing is off. These shipments of eggs will be a staggered hatch. Looking for an inexpensive octagon 20 Eco or rcom Eco without turner to purchase as a hatcher. I'm paranoid I'm going to end up with a problem incubator for a hatcher. Open to suggestions. Thanks guys for your input, in advance.

I've got 12 out of 12 shipped eggs developing in my Brinsea. I've got 4 out of 20 fertile, non shipped eggs developing in my little giant. Ugh! I usually only use the LG as a hatcher, but am desperate for incubator space right now.
