What kind of bunny? Can it be alone? Oh my goodness, it is cute!

I have been away for a week and there are a zillion posts on this group! literally a zillion!

Tonite I just put my younger birds on the lower roost bar under the older birds while they were semi asleep.................I read that this helps with the integration...............time will tell!

my younger birds are pretty big now..........and the two groups have been around each other often enough yet still not living happily in the same coop or enclosed space..............

I left the door to the run open in case fighting ensues in the morning ...............so this way there is more room to escape the battle..............

I read that the older birds often wake up and think this is a normal scenario and just go with it...............its hard to believe this will actually work but seems worth a try...........and a prayer!

i am only able to do this because they are bigger now, have shown they know how to escape............and many other tactics have been tried...............anyone else ever done this.........

Lisa:

My last attempt to integrate youngin's with oldin's did go so well....had to intercede....had a wyandotte get beat up badly by the big girls....so, I can only free range them when I am there and hoping for the best...and I have a crew in the brooder to move outside...imho its all about time and the personality of the individual birds...

What a night....

Came home from work around 10:30p and went to the deck to relax...dog alerted and I let him loose....he ran around for about 15mins and came back.....

about 10mins later foxes started to call....two of them one close and one much farther off.,...grabbed the shotgun and flash light.....cut the dog loose again....the two called for about a 1/2 hr....spot lighted one but had no shot at it...c'est la vie......

i guess I will just need to get up early to see how this unfolds.............wonder how early they wake up?
