Hello everyone! I am from Portage, PA. Anyone familiar with where I am?! New to BYC!
That is one of the main reasons for us moving to Michigan, to spend time with our parents while they are still here.I'm so sorry. I lost my Mom over 10 years ago and I still miss her, life is never the same after a parent is gone. It did make me want to enjoy more fully the time with those I still had with me.
hello all! I have not been following posts for awhile..............there are so many that I just had to jump to the latest...........
I have a newly laying wyandotte chicken and I have noticed some blood on the outside of the egg shell.
She has started laying maybe 2 weeks ago.
Its not a large amount of blood.............but I am wondering if I should be doing something to help her or is it just "growing" pains?
thanks in advance.
Well everyone, I've been busted lol. Remember last week when I said I picked up a new incubator and was selling the old one and hubby didn't know? Well, I had the old up for sale on a yard sale Facebook page. Normally my husband's doesn't get on Facebook and is not a member of the yard sale page so I wasn't worried about it. This morning, he asked me why I had an incubator up for sale (I think his brother told him lol) because he thought I wanted them. BUSTED! So I played it off and said, yeah, that's the old one, I only need two. He was like oh, ok....wait? You have 3? So I told him about the new one and how it was cheap because someone bought it but never used it and with me selling the old one, that made it super cheap. He didn't care that I bought it, but told me I'm sneaky and said all you chicken people are a bad influence lol

Actually it's probably "laying pains".

Houston, we have a problem!
I might be away for New Years. And I won't be back until the third. Fine if all goes well. Not if any duckings hatch early or need help.
Hmmm... I think I might need a flock sitter.
Welcome to the fun. What do you have and what can we help you get?Hello everyone! I am from Portage, PA. Anyone familiar with where I am?! New to BYC!
