I have had poor hatches the last 2 weeks. First was a major mistake on my part the cooked a bunch of eggs, but last weekend it was just really poor for certain breeds, notably the dark eggs, so I think my RH is too high in the room, making it too high in the incubators, even with no added water. I tried a dehumidifier in the room, but that raise the temp too high, so it's outside the room now with a fan to circulate the cooler, drier air into the warm, humid chicks room. It would help to reduce the population too, I need to get some chicks moved to the farm soon.

On a very positive note, another shipment of Ameraucanas are coming today, about a dozen each Lavender and Silvers. I really like both those colors and hope to have good sized breeding groups of them for next year. I'm hoping for lots of pullet chicks

Does anyone know where I can get Lavender Orpingtons at? I just came across the breed a couple of weeks ago and would love to add them to our flock.
Lancaster Fancy Fowl has them, but they are pricey. Anyone selling them is likely asking a high price. If you really want them, let me know how many you want and I might be able to get them for a reduced price if you are willing to be patient.
