We get ours feom Good's feed mill on 897. Near the Weavers store in five pointville. I'm surprised u drive all the way to Denver for chicken feed
Free delivery, they even stack it in the right place in the barn -- as long as you buy at least a ton at a time. I suppose that's not feasible for everyone here.

Wow, how long does a ton of food last you?
About 3 weeks. I figure a 100 lb bag of feed per day. When the starlings were bad it was even more than that, but many of them have "thrown off their mortal coils" and it's back to that rate now. Even with quantity breaks for buying so much at a time, this is an expensive "hobby".

The Farm Show is not the only place that there is Poultry on display through out the year. Various fairs have nice displays. Lebanon Fair in late July had 700+ birds entered. (Lebanon would be about an hour and 15 mins from Malvern. Not a bad ride.) Also, at the same show grounds in October there is a poultry club that has a show that last year had 1100+ birds entered. That included ducks, geese and turkeys, also. If you want to see up close and personal all the gorgeous breeds of chickens that are out there, I'd recommend a trip to either one of those events. Also, poultry show central lists shows by state. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the info @msladyhawke , we'll go to the one in July.

Thanks @gonehencrazy , the next time we're in Amish country we'll pop into Good's feed, buy a couple of bags and try the chickens on their feed.
I like checking out different places so we'll try that place and also Browns.
