Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I found the duckling. It froze to death in the bucket feeder.
The duckling went in, the food shifted, and it couldn’t get out.
I did know it was a possibility, but I totally forgot. I don’t think I’ll use auto feeders around babies again.
You know I feel awful about it.

I'm sorry to hear this. Poor baby :(

She ate some eggs, pooped on the floor, and was wormed. Vitamins are in her water.

Looks like a little shed intestinal lining maybe? and white can be a sign of dehydration. Have you given any Corid?

A closer examination of the poo looked like worms. I wormed alone last night ( :lau ) but Nurse Duckling helped tonight. Whew! So much easier!! Though she almost put the syringe down the chicken’s throat.
Plus, Cyndi had stepped in healthy poo!!! :celebrate She is recovering!
...i need to read earlier in the day..sorry i posted so late...Really glad to hear she is doing better!! It is nice to have extra hands around;), especially the little ones:love

So, how much snow are you all "supposed" to get??:caf...then they say temps into the 50's?!?
I don't know if I trust all of this...
The snow around here has mostly melted..the bottom half of the mountains, but midway to tops are still coated.
Chickens are a bit happier about not having to touch the nasty cold-white stuff, but are still giving me the stink eye about the cold & wind:idunno..what am I supposed to do about it?!
Our Maran -chickadee, is still growing her tail in & the feathers on her head. You can see the shafts, looks like I took white paint and drew white lines on her head... She takes her foot & tries to scratch at them...are they itchy?
Has anyone asked their chickens this question?...haha, this is what happens when someone needs to go to bed..:th
Good night to all you night owls:woot
