I’ll be your friend, and I homeschooled. Of course, I started in high school, and that was 20 years ago...

BTW, anybody local to me is welcome to bring their kids to visit. They can learn a lot in the chicken yard! (Actually, I’m 1/2 serious. I recently passed all required background checks for childcare, though I have no teaching credentials, only some experience and no job.)

I got the school closing information from Philipsburg area school district. I’m surprised other areas are only mentioning a few weeks.

Since school is canceled, and now they are saying it could extend into the next school year, I’m more concerned about Duckling falling behind.
It was brought to my attention, via an email, that kindergarteners are supposed to be doing online learning at this time. She’s doing letters right now, and I’m drinking coffee. Suddenly I hear, “you gotta fight! For your right! To paaaaarty!” I played that twice during a three day span of music education last week. I really didn’t think she was paying attention.
By the way, ten apples, minus three bananas, is ten apples.

My kindergartener is doing his online study now. It does not look good. He is really frustrated with the way daddy teaching him. I just got a call this morning from a crying boy and his mad dad. I had to try to calm both down. Not very successful! This week is still optional study, but next week the online study is required. I may have to do his study during evenings if they cannot handle this themselves.

I wish that I'm close enough to get help from you. It's really not fun to make a kindergartener do noline study.

We just got the messages from the kids' schools... all classes will be starting online on Monday. Both kids are freaking out lol

We had a pretty good day of “school” today. She has to read Hop on Pop (or other book) later, but math, science, social studies, home economics, spelling, dance and art class are done.

Unless you’re driving to NY, NJ or OH to get alcohol in the grocery store, you’re gonna love this. Walmart online is delivering alcohol. I’m still surprised W&S online stopped shipping after all.

Today is the 2nd time I have see 4 wild turkeys at my place. And they seem to like my guinea fowl. The guineas are not sure of them. But they only make noise at them. And the turkeys all have a small bread.

It's beautiful out today! I spent the morning reducing the flock a little bit. 1 roo and 2 muscovy drakes made the journey to freezer camp. Ducks are a pain in the butt to pluck! Now I'm exhausted, but I have some saddles to work on now.

My week has been busy. Had 5 goats have their babies this week. I have 2 hopfully due in Jume so I have a break. I am down to 2 ducks, 1 male and 1 female. Going to try and talk hubby into letting me get some ducklings. Chickens are doing good. I need to sit down and figure out who is laying and who is not. I have some that are 3-4 years old. My place is going to be llittle loud this weekend. We will be weaning the January group of baby goats off moms.
