Hey Everyone: Just found the Cutest Chicken Contest thread. Our state is not represented very well, so go post your pics. Entries are due by June 1st.

"If Timmy had a German Shepherd he wouldn't have been in the well in the first place!"

Unless the GSD pushed him in....

(I have a 6 month old GSD..he schemes! And doesn't have "great" control over his feet...)

Ok guys...I just HAVE to sing praises!

This new feed that I have been feeding (approximately a week) has changed the flavor and color of my bird's yolks tremendously! I am amazed! They were on DuMor. Forget THAT feed.

They are doing SO much better on "Southern States" breeder/layer 16%. My chicks? 100000% better on the medicated 18% chick starter! (The chick starter can go higher but I didn't need that high!)

I am shocked at the difference!

I have to ask..... does anyone know where in Berks county,,,, especially around the Reading area,,,,, we can buy the "Southern States" feeds. New to all this, and willing to try something that might be better..

thanks in advance for any information, Ray

Do you have an Agway near by? They usually have Southern States products. Another good feed is Nutrena, it has similar ingredients. Its even harder to find. Good Luck!

Ray...Reifsnyders in Bernville carries Southern States. At least their Gamebird line of feed. I buy that for my pheasants and peafowl.
