Very well looks like it. My wee ones surprised me though. I had two that looked like that one was rocket and the other lightning. Needless to say lightning decided the neighbor farm was way cooler cuz they have bobwhites as well and he moved on his own, rocket well lets just say rocket is now rockelle. Both had huge combs as lil birds. It wasn't till closer to 10-12wks that lightning started presenting himself bolder.
Anyone disagree about it being a cockerel with that comb? They are six weeks on Monday, but with only one having a visible comb, let alone that big ...
On a more interesting note (to me), my older chicks are getting very friendly. I had two on my back while I was petting a third. Another went to land on my back just as I was straightening up. It has only been the past week that everyone has started coming around.
Congrats!!!! Although I must admit I am jealous of you guys!
Very handsome roo! I can't wait to see the pictures! He was a houdan, I had too many roosters so he had to go. I have more breeds (silkie, turken, delaware, etc) just not had a chance to post pictures yet.
Thank you. Wonder if I could convince hubby to go in my place (ha!) I have a festival that day and will be selling soap. Here is the facebook link..
