Biosecurity requirements: All additions to the flock must come directly from NPIP pullorum clean or approved equivalent program sources. Birds on the PA pullorum equivalent program may not be commingled with birds which are not from an NPIP pullorum clean or approved equivalent program flock unless those additions are tested and found to be negative for pullorum, and those additions are not commingled with the program birds until after negative test results have been obtained. If I'm not exhibiting my birds...can I add birds from someone who isn't pep or npip? The way I read that is that once on the program new birds can not be mixed with the existing birds until they are tested and found negative. So they would have to be in quarantine until than.If I'm not exhibiting my birds...can I add birds from someone who isn't pep or npip? I figure annually testing seems reasonable...

The nice part of this whole session besides the info would be the tech training and when you add neww birds you can draw your own samples and send them to the lab without having to wait for a tech to come and take the samples. That is my understanding, too.
