Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Almost all are feather-legged, the Roos are all feathered, one hen is clean, but she's a nice hen otherwise, and produces mostly feather-legged young.

I use an average sized styrofoam incubator, probably set around 35 eggs,,, only 2 left that haven't even pipped yet,, not sure what I'll do about them yet, I did open the airsack end of another that didn't pip and actually found it's beak and opened the membrane for it and it seems to be doing ok.
Had never done that for one before, but I knew it was overdue and took the chance.

Had another that pipped in the middle of the egg, hadn't seen that before either,,, that posed a bit of a challenge,,, but seems to be doing well enough also.

I was so hoping there would be some blue's in the bunch,,, but all look like blacks. Definitely some blues on the next go !

Ray, that sounds like a great hatch to me!! Congrats!!

You all were quiet last night, lol.

This is a big day for us. I have 7 new silkies coming home; 6 pullets and a roo. They are going to move in with my 2 girls I got last week, my calico girl Tara and my little Lucy. This is going to be the start of my calico project pen. I have another roo coming at some point, too and I want to add a gray pullet or two in to the mix. I am excited to be working on this color and I hope I can do it justice!

My little girl is finally home and is doing well. We will be heading to Pittsburgh again in the morning for a check up, then again on Saturday with a trip to Altoona in between. Going to be another LONG week.

Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday!
