Yes, that's pretty old for a large dog. He really was pretty healthy until about the last year of his life. Never really got arthritis which I always figured he would since he was hit by a PU pulling a stock trailer and almost killed when he was about one. he was a mix of St. Bernard, lab, and german shepherd
