People just don't get it but can I blame them .

This kinda reminds me of the first pediatrician I ever had for my son. When the guy found out I had 3 Collies he said he feared for my son's safety and actually wanted me to call animal control that instant and arrange for them to come get the dogs that day. Needless to say, instead of calling animal control, I called a new pediatrician.

People can have weird fears and phobias--even doctors and teachers!

All right so teacher called asking about the field trip we are going to take. and I asked her about why she thought chickens were that way and she said when she was growing up her neighbors had games. and from what I heard they were not taken well care of. she said that their coop was dirty and that they rolled in and ate their poo. and that when they were free ranged all day that when she would go out side the roosters would chase her. I also asked her about the counseling thing and she said that she was talking about me and my sister. she saw us in a fight with each other a few days ago. she apologized for her actions because she figured that all chickens were mean and nasty. I plan to use this as a chance for the student to educate the teacher maybe show her my chickens and coop so that she will no what chickens that are cared for look like. and she also said that if I could she would buy a dozen eggs from me.

So it looks like this guy just found a person to sell eggs to how much should I sell them for ?

I'm glad it turned out positive for you, Crazychicken. At least she talked about it with you. If she hadn't, that's another story.

When my daughter was in the 3rd grade, she wore leggings and a long top, which was the fashion in some places. Her teacher made fun of her wearing "long underwear" in front of the class, and also, when she disrupted class, she put her desk in the middle and made the other students put their desks in a circle around her. I did charge over to the school and have a talk with her. I told her not to make fun of my DD's clothes anymore, her German aunt sent her the latest fashion. And to put her desk back in the right place. That teacher was a nut!

That is too crazy, funny. My friends think I am crazy for having chickens in the city, but when times get hard and they are looking for food (eggs) guess who they are going to be asking for some from? I LOVE my chickens!

I would give her the first dozen free, and charge her $2/dozen after that. I supoose you could charge her more, but I would still give her the 1st dozen for free as a goodwill gesture.
