Awwww  that was adorable, the little one riding around on his "mama's" back. I didn't know chicks did that. 

 

Neither did I! The d'uccle started doing it one day, and the frizzle followed shortly after. I have never been near a camera when they both jumped on, but that's happened many times as well!

I also love how they "hide" under mamas wings. I am having the worst time waiting until spring to hatch out. I want babies NOW. Having baby chick withdrawals.

It is massively adorable! I have a pic of the d'uccle and Polka Dot, where all you can see is her head poking out. Wait... I can show ya

Oh, and I did something bad today...

I impulsively purchased SEVEN 4 day old babies! Two Sebrights, and FIVE Bearded (I think) d'uccles! That means more coops... Hah.

She is a very special hen, and such a great mommy! It's probably hard to tell from the pictures, but she's also INCREDIBLY tiny!

oh now I am jealous. They are sooo sweet. Nobody here has chickys for sale right now. Plus my husband would have a conniption. He doesn';t understand chicken math yet. Although he should cuz it's the exact same thing he's been practicing for years on me called "gun math". Funny how you can put two guns in a gun safe and next time you open it they have multiplied. Had a straight up litter they did. Anywho,  still want babies. Congratulations on your adorable little ones.

I totally understand "gun math"! I was guilty of that.. And bass guitar math... And snake math... And SAAB math. Haha! It's amazing how quickly they breed, isn't it?

Miss naughty Sunni has a new favorite toy. My necklace. I have a little pendent with a chicken engraved on it hanging from my necklace, and she noticed it today when I was putting on her diaper. Now every chance she gets she starts pulling on it.

She also found out that chasing the dog is a great game too.
