Thank you. I always thought pics of them were so pretty. But even with all the mud all over their feet, pics dont do them justice. These birds don't know me at all. I just got them Monday night. But they are so sweet. They all let me pick them up and pet them. They are sooooooooo soft. its like rabbit fur. The Partrige cochin is even softer and sweeter than the whites. I cant wait to get my blue cochin chicks later this spring. My flock is going to be so diverse and colorful. Pretty, Pretty

If you want to see something funny, watch a cochin run. OMG

thepremo1 There is a thread somewhere on here that says you can. their theory is you only do one very tame chick at about 3 weeks old. No more and no older. I just spend a lot of time with a rag and a bottle of vinegar cleaning poo. Its not bad with just Gabby, But is is exhusting when we let all eight silkies out and the ducks too with their little pond. But they are so happy and fun to watch its worth it.

ChickesMoma she is beautiful. I love that color, looks like honey. Yummy. Carlie Chaplin EXACTLY. LOL

hnbubz can you post a bigger pic? Othello is soooo cute. I think it may be a light brahma. She has feathers on her feet and legs, it looks like? They are beautiful birds. I am getting 4 chicks in April. They have very sweet temperments and lay lg brown eggs. Keep the pics comeing.

thanks

he does have feathers on his feet. so far he is the sweetest thing! i think he'll do good as an indoor cause he doesnt really spend as much time with the other chicks and seems to rather be by me.

iluvcks, I check back in here and suddenly your sig line looks like a paragraph! Geez....what are we gonna do with you?
lol.png
and ducks too???? I can scarcely keep up with you. Keep the zoo updates coming and keep Gabby under control, OK? ...
I have been busy with new arrivals too, of sorts. I have rescued 5 chickens from an abusive home (animal shelter called me to come pick them up; I'll find them a permanent home) PLUS my friend asked me to take her hen for a while to rehab her, PLUS my serama hatch didn't go very well and only one pipped and hatched. So I have a lonely house chick serama who spends a lot of time down my shirt:
