I just learned something, but I'm not quite sure what it was. :gig

Two pullets are perched on the audio bar in front of the 46" flat screen TV. I have pretty much learned to watch programs around them. Once they get into their low, roosting positions, it's not so bad.

Anyway, chickens do occasionally watch TV with me. I mean, watch the screen, not just be present when I am watching it. Not all the time, just when something interests them.

The girls had almost settled into their lowest snoozing positions when something in the reality program I was watching startled some jungle fowl of some type. But the alarm call galvanized my pullets into action.

They flew to me.

THAT woke up my dogs, sleeping next to me on the sofa. I nearly had a heart attack.

I guess I learned the audio on at least one reality program uses real poultry calls.

I was watching some history show once when it played clucking and crowing sounds. I could hear my roosters freaking out outside.

Those are Sebastopol. They are gorgeous!!! I would love to have on as a house goose one day I think. You don't know Oliver do you? He's the "famous" house goose. His momma wrote a book and has tons of videos of him on YouTube. I think it's a genius idea haha.

Trina has been taking a LOT of car rides lately and she has picked out her favorite spot. She likes to feel the wind in her feathers I guess haha. She get's braver and sticks her head way out the window when we stop. She has a leash on under her breast so she's not going anywhere lol.

beautiful :)

I have CooCoo separated from the rest of the hens. She wanders the backyard and sometimes comes into the house and looks for scraps in the kitchen floor. Sometimes she sits on my lap and makes this Cooing sound. which is why I named her CooCoo. I bought her at the local feed store. I thought she was a Light Brahma but she appears to be more DARK. I still love her. She sleeps in a box under the sink.
