I found two of these today, for the first time ever.
One was in the nest and the other was on top of the nest box when they were going to sleep. (They roost on top of it.)
I don't know what to think, it's strange! It looks like someone cracked open an egg in a frying pan. There's no sign of a shell anywhere.
What does this mean? They're eating the same things they've always eaten, nothing has changed. The only thing is that I have quite a few pullets just starting to lay that have never laid before. But still I think it's extremely odd to get two eggs with no shell at all in one day! Help!
