Permanent blinder

I know what it entails. Read posts above. It's not necessary right now.
It's your chicken and you should know best since you see it everyday. I wasnt saying you need to. Just that when it comes time to, and that day may come, that it isn't as hard, scary, or risky as you obviously think it is. It happens everyday with minimal discomfort to the bird. :pop
If you didn't think it could be necessary, why did you even start this thread?

I knew it! I had 3 of those hen's here. They laid blue eggs. I only have one of them left here now. I sold one and one died during the high summer heat we had a couple of months ago. Mine didn't have that big floppy comb, though.
 
I have two chickens like this and they are 100% fine. I think that if she doesn't like it and isn't doing well with this comb then I would go to more drastic measures

I just got another one couple months ago. She isn't laying yet but yeah I like the blue eggs.
