Permanently removing a roosters spurs.

Does anyone know where to go or about how much it would cost to remove a rooster spurs permantly? He's a pet so he doesn't free range so it's not like he needs them to protect the hens.

No you can't remove them permanent
Because they Are jointed with the leg tissues
U can trim them as shown in YouTube videos some use some cutters some use potatoes method

I use dog clippers and trim them as small as I can I stopped once I reach blood line

I don't know most people I know who have pets don't mutilate them.
Do you get your dogs or cats desexed? it's no different in that there's a problem (for humans) and a surgery to fix said problem.

I have an aggressive rooster who I love that nobody will take (he only likes me) but he keeps injuring other people with his spurs. He'll either be de-spurred so he's not dangerous, or killed. If it were me i'd prefer to lose a pinky than a life.

I had a rooster seriously injure me with his beak. He smacked me under the knee, charging me like a freight train. I'm old and use a cane and he brought me to the ground. Think what that beak could do to somebody's eye. And don't forget he can also do damage with the claws on his feet (mine raked my legs pretty good) and also with his wings, so if you really want to render him harmless, remove his beak, his wings and all his toes, or better yet, his feet.

🙄 Honestly, he probably belongs in a stew pot.
