Permethrin Dilution - Updated with Product PDFs

Looks good to me.
Thank you!

Any idea why they are still coming? I thought three applications would be enough to wipe them out. We sprayed the birds and house. The only thing I didn't do was the nesting boxes in one henhouse (forgot but plan to do that today). I have two henhouses. The one that I DID clean the nesting boxes and soaked everything is the one I'm having major problems with.

This is my boy from a few weeks ago. They are back, almost this bad:

Do I need to spray the run too? We just got an insane amount of rain over the past week, is it okay to spray the run while the ground still wet?

**edit to clarify: I'm seeing these white things on the chickens, but little brownish ones that are almost microscopic on the floor of the house, the nest, the roosts. I reached in the nest to get an egg (that someone busted) and got my arm covered. I didn't see them until my arm was itching.

Can you get any close-up pictures of the bugs?
Yes, I did. 🙂 I'm not 100% sure if the white things on Wild Thang are actually white from the flash of the camera or if they are very light brown bugs. This is from my thread here:

I managed to get photos, and unexpectedly, Wild Thang (the boy I couldn't catch) is fine with the camera. Just no touching him. So I have photos of him. It's bad. There are more than I first thought.

The best I can see in the vent area:

In the center of this photo is some bug that gt on m when cleaning the chicken house and it bit me. it really stung whatever it is.

This is another bug I found:

It's kind of hard to see, but in the center of this photo is what I suspect are red mites? There were a ton of these in the chicken house and run, but none that I saw on the chickens. They like to hang out on the poo nad under the food and water dishes:
(**Since taking these photos, we got inches and inches of rain. There are now thousands of these in the run...)

Permethrin comes in three different concentrations, 10% (most common, sold in most feed stores), 13.3% (common), and 36.8% (usually has to be ordered online). Below are tables that show how to make 1 gallon.

Just wondering...I just sprayed my outside peafowl pen with Permethrin 10 using 6 oz per gal. How soon can I put my 4 day old pea chicks in the pen (along with their surrogate mama chicken hen?)

Should be okay to put them in now.

Make sure you spray weekly for 3 or 4 weeks because permethrin does not kill the pests eggs so weekly repeated treatments are necessary as they hatch out. Just keep the birds out until the spray dries after spraying. Good luck...

Thanks Cmom. I will do the followup!
