I have experienced it going bad when left in direct sunlight. You're probably okay.Does anyone know whether permethrin goes bad if not kept at the ideal temp? I bought some 36.8% concentrate and it has been sitting in a barn for a week. We have had pretty good temperatures at night all week, but last night it got down to the low 30s. I am worried that it is ruined, but can't find much about this online other than that the recommended storage temperature is 40-80 degrees F.
The most I've found is that it will get frozen chunks in it if it's cold, but nothing about whether or not that renders the substance ineffective.
Permethrin comes in three different concentrations, 10% (most common, sold in most feed stores), 13.3% (common), and 36.8% (usually has to be ordered online). Below are tables that show how to make 1 gallon.
Ratio Ounces ML Final % 1:19 1.7 ounces 50 ml 0.5% 1:39 0.85 ounces 25 ml 0.25% 1:99 0.425 ounces 12.6 ml 0.10% 1:199 0.21 ounces 6.2 ml 0.05% 1:399 0.11 ounces 3.125 ml 0.025%

Just dive the number by 4, that's what you need for a quart.Whoops I copied all three, sorry. I have Permethrin 10
Depends on which percentage. My Gordon's permethrin 10% says 1:200 for spraying on the chickens, so you have to open up the label to find the details for spraying on the chickens. It's NOT the same as spraying on a surface. Also the Gordon's says to use the mixture in 24 hours, so you can't just keep a mixture handy. hope this helps.I only have 8 hens.
