Permethrin spray

Just shared this thread with someone who's birds have lice.....
....wondering if egg clusters are coated/soaked with the spray if it will kill eggs and/or hatchlings?

Any thoughts?

I don't know if the eggs are killed outright, but the residual appears long lasting, so the little guys die at hatching for sure. Mary

So far me it's been spray once and done, regardless of how many eggs are on the feathers.

Which is why I don't understand why it wouldn't work on scaly leg mite the same as everything else?

I some scaly looking scales, but no scabs or anything like that and not on everyone. So I was just curious.

I've never had to treat leg mites, and really hope that the permethrin spray will work on them also. Catching each bird and applying goo to their legs just isn't something I want to do anytime soon. Mary
