Hello,
Long story short, I've moved in with some relatives who are hesitant to allow me to get my Cayuga hen some company as they fear the neighbors will complain. She has been registered as an emotional support animal, but an additional duck wouldn't have any paperwork to prevent local law enforcement from impounding her. I don't think my relatives would have a problem with an additional duck if it was legal, which is why I'm in need of advice. What do I need for it to be legal for me to keep two ducks in their backyard? Is it even possible? If not, I fear I'll have to rehome her as I know she'll be lonely. I live in the suburbs of one of the cities in metro Detroit if it helps.
