Persistant Hawk

Wow, sounds like expanding our run is the only option.

Has anyone heard of putting crow decoys around the yard to keeping a hawk away?

Last year I covered an area larger than what you describe. We used 1/8 inch parachute rope, because I had some, the length and width of the run as needed and supported the rope with wooden posts. At Lowes I bought a roll of twist ties and cut what I needed to size. I used the twist ties to connect pieces of deer netting. We left out chickens out all day while at work. We have hawks but no problems while using the netting. What we didn't do was make this netting tall enough for us to walk under. The weeds grew up through the netting. Chickens loved it but DH hated it and we ended up taking in down. My chickens just free range when we are with them and now it's limited to about an hour a day. Not sure what we will do after winter.
