Not getting the connection with "fasting". Please explain.

Fasting is a practice followed by Christians, in regards to approaching God in deep prayer. It is a giving up, or relinquishing, of the earthly needs; focusing you completely on God and our greater spiritual needs that can only come from Him. It is a practice we take from the Bible. Enables us to go deeper in our prayer life before God at certain times. In repentance, in a time of great need for yourself or another, etc. In a nutshell, it's how we cry out to Him with all our hearts, forsaking the earthly.

Joel 1:14
Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring the leaders and all the people into the Temple of the Lord your God, and cry out to him there.

well I am grateful that there are plenty of wonderful people on this Chicken site.. ones that are willing to pray for others.. and granted that 98% of this site is about chicken this forum is designated Me, my chickens, my family.. this thread is titled personal prayer request. You dont have to pray but please let others. Although if you have sold your soul to the devil.. pray to him as well. If my god and your devil work toward the same goal then the devil will quit and leave us alone.
