No I'm sure she is, I just want to make sure if you're sure, because often if a Brabanter or Spitzhauben has some residual lacing, it's actually a poor quality Polish being sold as such.

of the breeds you have listed, I like the dorking and araucana the best, but my #1 favorite are the cochins... tho my sweetest one right now is my bantam RIR hen with my oegb coming close second. 8)

I got eggs from the same breeder. There's clearly some Polish in there, but they're mostly Brabanter. That's pretty much the case with Brabanters in this country. One works with what one has.
What about the Black Old English Game bantams? Are they nice?
By nice, I mean...are they fairly gentle to people and reasonably calm. They don't have to be a lap dog...but I still remember the horrible RIR cockerels my parents had...50 of them! They had beady little eyes and sharp little beaks!

The one Spitzhauben hen I had was one of the best. Would fly up on your shoulder, or perch on a nearby yard item while you worked. She was always curious about what you were doing. She is deceased sadly. My absolute favorite is the Belgian Bearded Bantam (D'uccle). The hens and even one of my roosters is very snuggly! I have a few hens that always want to be picked up and petted and held and don't move a muscle, being perfectly content to snuggle. They are also friendly and curious little things and like to ruin your Sunday best by flying up on your shoulder when you go to let them out or put them up sometimes. And they do talk to you. I love their waddle as they run with their feathered feet. And they make such good broodies and mamas too! Some are fairly protective broody mamas, others don't mind you petting the babies if you pet mama too! And I think some of the roosters would have quite the conversation if they could talk. It's so cute when they cluck their girls over for a treat, or start fluffing up the nest box. I even has one rooster who wants to keep the broody hen company in the nest box!
