Ticks are nasty!

We've had a tick explosion the last couple weeks. I pulled seven off my dog yesterday.

Bugs don't really bother me as far as being afraid of them but I don't like ticks because they attach themselves.
I got one between one of my toes a couple years ago and it freaked me out.

Lol. I know about horsefly’s but we don’t have them here.

In upstate NY before you hit the Adirondack mountains, the worst two bugs that hurt humans are mosquitoes and ticks. But don’t get me started on garden pests. Growing zucchini’s has become a science to avoid the dreaded vine borer. And a few cutworms chopped 2 of my foot high tomato plants right at the base like a saw last year. Now I surround every tomato with skinny toothpick skewers about 4 inches long to protect them. Takes forever but better than losing entire plants overnight. And my zucchini’s stay covered with garden cloth until the female flowers emerge to keep them alive.

My boyfriend had 19 ticks on him 3 weeks ago! He called them seed ticks, so tiny. I had 1 on me. I have never seen that many ticks at one time in my life.

My hair dresser's mother got bit by a tick last year and got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. She was sick for weeks

They were all around his back & torso area, so that makes me think they were in the uhaul truck he drove. Of course I was hugging him when he arrived, so one crawled on me. I've done all sorts of yard work & mowing under some trees & no ticks at my place, so those buggers must've been in the uhaul! He drove it and we found ticks on him right afterwards. Usually, if ticks are in the yard or fall from trees they attach themselves to head, neck or legs. All of his ticks were where he'd be sitting in the driver's seat in that uhaul. Nasty buggers!

Ugh, That's horrible.
One of my mom's neighbors has Lyme disease from a tick bite. It's Just so sad.
