I razz her about it because she's got a background in marine biology. I told her if she finishes her masters and goes for a PHD I'm making her focus on cnidarians so she has to talk about anemones when defending her dissertation

A pet peeve is "something a particular person finds especially annoying".

YES. Strangely, I love my Oxford commas. So, when a comma is missing, I lose my mind lol
