Pet Store

thanks to all of you!! now i have to be a slave to making up a business plan and try and get a bank loan ha ha

it will all come in time

a reputable breeder would never sell to a petstore, puppy broker or backyard breeder, i screen my puppy buyers, anyone who has money to throw around can buy a puppy and be a horrible home, plus you would have to pay puppy mill prices for the puppies you intend to resell, so you wouldn't get any quality dogs and you would be selling poor quality animals, plus with the big chains petco, petsmart etc, people aren't going to spend more money at a small store when they can get the same products at these other stores a lot cheaper

my husband likes the idea of animals from the shelter but most puppies dont stay long in a shelter so do you think having adult dogs there would work too? they could be either on the young end or older just to get them more exposure to being adopted? or do you think people would only want to look at young pups

for food, collars and leashes etc.... you need to carry things that the big stores DONT HAVE...
depends on where you live and the type of town/city you are in... you could focus on QUALITY over quantity...
maybe add dog training classes??? a groomer????

or if you like reptiles... a few doors down from me specializes in reptiles ONLY... (and bugs, spiders, scorpions, etc). everything you might need for reptiles....
again QUALITY HEALTHY pet animals for sale.. and their food, enclosers, bedding,, etc,,,, they do quite well
