The buttons are cute and fun but strictly ornamental. I like the coturnix because they serve multiple purposes.

Update on my chicks: the one that pipped early this morning should just be hatching now. The humidity dropped and the membrane dried, so I (gulp) broke the membrane so it could get out. While doing so, I noticed another one had pipped.

One of the eggs has a crack on the side of it on the small end...before i put any eggs in the bator i checked each one for crack and made sure none made it in with cracks

but this doesn't look like a pip i'd ever seen

i tried taking pics but my camera is wack..lol

every time i take close shots it's blurry


but i got a egg pics and made what the crack on the quail egg looks like



it looks just like this...what do you think??
