Pheasant/chicken hybrid photos

One of the barriers to this hybrid is that pheasants and chickens speak somewhat different languages.

A golden pheasant cock is displaying, and looking for signs of receptivness from the hen. Meanwhile, she doesn't understand why he's "speaking gibberish". Best guess is that time will eventually allow them to work out a "pidgin" language between them.

Which most certainly won't allow either of them to communicate with pigeons.

Whether that results in a fertile cross, I don't know. In my area the Golden pheasant cocks stopped being fertile something like a month or more ago. Around here at least May and June are the golden pheasant breeding season.

I wonder if the golden pheasant is tame enough then you could just hold the hen and kinda just get her to squat down for him

Artificial insemination in Galliformes doesn't seem to be terribly difficult, though I've never done it.

The Japanese quail / coturnix people sometimes seem to be fans of it, and there's a number of websites and YouTube videos that explain it.

Also the common commercial turkey (the broad breasted) are unable to breed naturally and so ALL of them are produced via artifical insemination. Yup, there are people out there whose job description says they help turkeys procreate.

Rather than trying to hold birds still and convince them to mate, this might be simpler? I'm not saying that it would work, it even whether you should try it. I'm just spitballing ideas.
